June 1, 2024: Vessi 500 Championship: The Vessi 500 Championship features Mixed and Women's teams racing off in BC's second largest dragon boat race! Come down and watch races on False Creek every 15 minutes. The event also serves as a testing ground for teams prior to the continent's flagship dragon boat festival.

Steveston's annual dragon boat festival will return to Imperial Landing next Saturday with the largest number of teams yet. Eighty teams with more than 2,000 racers are set to descend on the docks to participate in B.C.'s largest dragon boat race outside of Vancouver.. Registration for the Dragon Boat Festival, a celebration of diversity and teamwork, is now open. From June 21 to 23, teams of women, men, juniors, and mixed groups, totalling up to 26 paddlers.
