THE HISTORY OF THE AIR FORCE & SPACE The Sands Space History Center, formerly known as The Air Force Space and Missile History Center, an extension of the museum, is located just outside the south gate of Cape Canaveral Space Force Station.. The Air Force Space and Missile Museum may be added for an extended tour. Our volunteers will escort your students during the tour and the tour is free. Transportation is provided and paid for by you, the requester. Your groups will be met by badged volunteers outside the Space Force Station (SFS) gates and escorted onto the SFS.
